B”H, 6 Nissan, 5709

Greetings and blessings,

A small book containing explanations on Tanya that was brought by R. Shlomo Palmer finally reached me. I extend a double measure of thanks to you for this. You will no doubt inform me if these are explanations that R. Shmuel Gronem [Esterman]1 wrote down for his own use and there exist others that were delivered verbally when he would teach [the Tanya], or whether the latter were also included in this booklet. [I am asking] because there are several insights that I have heard in his name which I did not find in this manuscript.

Also, the booklet ends in the middle of ch. 44. Is this all that was recorded or is the conclusion lacking? I give you thanks in advance for clarifying all of the above.

Enclosed is a kuntreis that was recently published. You will no doubt share it with people at large.

I conclude with wishes for a happy and kosher Pesach and with greetings for all those who seek our welfare,

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
