B”H, 19 Teves, 5709

Greetings and blessings,

You have no doubt received my letter of Yud-Tes Kislev. Enclosed is a kuntreis for 24 Teves, a letter from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita, and a letter from Machne Israel.1 After consulting with those who know the prevailing situation in your city and country, perhaps it is desirable to publicize it1 in newspapers, on the walls of the houses of study, and the like. As mentioned, this should be [carried out] in a manner that does not present a contradiction to your efforts in collecting nifneh.2

[From your letter,] it appears that Rabbi Domb accepted the job working for Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch. Has anything been done about that?

With good wishes to all those who seek our welfare, and in anticipation of a response to my question in the previous letter,

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
