Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter of Motzaei Shabbos, 15 Menachem Av: Thanks for the good news regarding the improvement of ….’s health. In the very near future, you will certainly send notification of an even greater improvement in his health until he returns to wellbeing entirely.

Certainly he sleeps with a yarmulke on his head and you tell him — in a manner appropriate to his age — about our Nasi, my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, and also, that even now, a tzaddik who passes away is found in all the worlds, including this, the world of deed, more than during his lifetime.1And he draws down blessing to all of those who are bonded with him, in particular, to boys and girls, as explained in Chassidus,2 regarding the concept:3 “For Israel is a youth and I love him.”

Thank you [for your efforts] that led to many of our Jewish brethren beginning to recite kapitle 71 [of Tehillim, the kapitle of] my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ.4 The merit of the many is dependent on you. 5

Waiting to hear good tidings in the near future and signing with blessing,

Menachem Schneerson
