This letter was sent to R. Benyamin Gorodetzky, a chassid who headed the office for the aid of refugees which received financial assistance from the Joint Distribution Committee.

B”H, 18 Iyar, 5710, the hilula of R. Shimon bar Yochai

Greetings and blessings,

You brought me happiness with your letter of 14 Iyar [which related] that R. Michael Lipsker1 will receive the necessary papers. Certainly he will undertake the journey speedily and everything will be successful in all of its particulars, according to the will of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, and his directives.

With regard to sending R. Shneur Zalman Teibel to Marseilles: In my humble opinion it is correct, for he was already there. Perhaps it would be valuable that he be joined by another person.

Undoubtedly, the kuntres of Lag BaOmer was duly received.

You make no mention of your health. Certainly, that is a sign that everything is as it should be.

With wishes for all forms of everlasting good and with greetings to our entire fellowship,

M. Schneerson
