Blessings and greetings,
Your letter was duly received. In response: You must rest assured that the blessings which our revered Rebbe, my father-in-law, הכ"מ, gave you [continue] with full force and will be fulfilled.
It is apparent from your letter that you visited a doctor. Certainly, you are obeying his instructions.
G‑d is the One Who brings healing and grants strength. Nevertheless, the Torah relates that He desires that this should be accomplished in part through an agent — the doctor and the mediums which the doctor prescribes. We must also remember that the primary medicine are the mitzvos and the good deeds that G‑d told each one of us to perform. They endow us with health and strength, as you were blessed by the Rebbe. And a tzaddik’s blessings will certainly be fulfilled.
With blessings and greetings to your son,
Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
