This letter was sent to R. Shmuel David Raichik and R. Yehudah Leib Posner, two of the Rebbe’s emissaries.

B”H, the Fourth Day of Chanukah, 5711,
Brooklyn, N.Y.

Greetings and blessings,

With happiness I heard that on this coming Wednesday, a special meeting will be held in the house of our mutual friend, the active communal leader, R. M. Wexler,1 to consider [giving] substantial assistance to the work of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch.

Enclosed is a copy of a letter that I wrote for a meeting like this2 for the benefit of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, Machne Israel, and Kehot that was held in New York. From this letter, you will see my outlook, opinion, and request regarding this work and the obligation and merit everyone has to participate in this work and strengthen and expand these three institutions. Certainly you will publicize the contents of my letter among the participants in this meeting of [people] who merited to take part in the work of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, and similarly in any other place where it will have a positive effect.

It is my hope to soon hear of the concrete activities accomplished at this meeting and of the superior fruit that will emerge from this good sowing and its future produce. You will certainly inform [me] of the names of the participants.

With blessing,

Menachem Schneerson
