This letter was sent to R. Sholom Posner, the Rebbe’s shaliach in Pittsburgh.

Brooklyn
Greetings and blessings,
All of your letters together with the pannim1 enclosed in them were duly received, and today, your letter from Sunday night was also received. Forgive my delay in responding due to my being very busy, particularly, at the present time, due to the preparation for printing the kuntreis for 20 Cheshvan (from the Rebbe Rashab),2 for 25 Cheshvan3 (enclosed), and for the coming Yud-Tes Kislev,4 as well as the digest of the talks of Shabbos Bereishis which you certainly duly received, and the digest of the talks of Shabbos Lech Lecha which are enclosed. It is obvious that by no means should you attribute [the failure to respond] to discontent or the like, Heaven forbid.
With regard to the pattern that was followed with regard to my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, I already wrote to someone5 that for that, it is necessary that I possesses essential powers that are appropriate for that [mission]; similar concepts apply with regard to revealed powers and to the three garments of thought, speech, and deed, etc.
..I derived much satisfaction from seeing the names of the people on whom you have had an effect [mentioned] in your letter.6 Without committing myself by vow, I will read [these names at the gravesite on the Rosh HaShanah of Chassidus, i.e., the upcoming Yud-Tes Kislev. May G‑d grant you — and every one of us — the merit to draw down and receive the blessings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, for Yud-Tes Kislev, as were printed in his letter for Yud-Tes Kislev, 5710,7 which were repeated in the kuntreis for the coming Yud-Tes Kislev.8
With blessings for success in your holy work and much satisfaction from all your descendants. With greetings to the entire fellowship and holiday blessings,
M. Schneerson
You will find answers to some of the points you mentioned in your letters to me in the digests of the talks of Shabbos Bereishis and Shabbos Lech [Lecha]. Regarding the others, I will answer, without committing myself by vow, over the course of time.
You will certainly inform me how Yud-Tes Kislev was celebrated....
