By the Grace of G‑d
4th of Adar, 5718 [February 24, 1958]
Brooklyn, N. Y.

Blessing and Greeting:

I received your letter of the 14th of Shevat, and because of pressure of activities, my reply was unavoidably delayed.

You write in your letter about your sister -------------, whom I will remember in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory, that G‑d send her His blessings, particularly in connection with a suitable Shidduch. Needless to say, however, that, it is also necessary to take steps, in the natural way, to make suitable contacts, which can be done in an indirect and diplomatic way, if a direct approach might not have the desirable results, as you write.

With regard to the cyst on your son Joseph's lip, about which you write that you are watching, it is no doubt unnecessary for me to remind you that you should not rub it or irritate it in any way.

Inasmuch as G‑d has been kind to you in the past, especially in matters of health, you will surely have every confidence in Him in the future, for. G‑d is the true Healer, as it is written in the Torah, "For I, G‑d, am thy Healer." And, the cure that G‑d sends is different from the cure of a human doctor, for G‑d's cure is preventive, as it is written, "All the sickness... I shall not send upon thee, for I, G‑d, am thy Healer." The Zechus of your educational work of bringing Jewish children closer to their Father in Heaven will surely stand you and all your family in good stead.

Wishing you all a happy Purim,

With blessing,
M. Schneerson
