By the Grace of G‑d
16th of Shevat, 5721 [February 2, 1961]
Brooklyn, N. Y.

Greeting and Blessing:

I received your letter of the 7th of Teveth, and I was pleased to read in it that you began to follow the Nusach Chabad. I was also gratified to read about your Shiurim, which I trust you will continue in a growing measure and, as I have written to you before, in a spirit of joy, peace of mind and gladness of heart.

I trust that you have duly observed the Yahrzeit Hilulo of Yud Shevat. May the remembrance of this day inspire every one of us to follow in the footsteps of the Ba'al Ha-Hilulo, to continue his work with dedication and selflessness, for the strengthening of the Torah and Mltzvoth and the teachings and way of life of Chassidus, both within one's immediate surroundings and the environment at large.

With blessing,
M.Schneerson

With regard to your question about the status of the Falashas, I believe that a number of years ago the Beth Din of Jerusalem investigated their status, but I do not know the details, nor what final decision, if any, the Beth Din had reached.
