Hadassah Zirkind is a young Lubavitch mother who is passionate about starting the conversation around all parts of mental illness. She is the founder of A Drop of Light, an organization aimed at raising awareness of and preventing frum suicides. Hadassah volunteers as a crisis counselor for the Crisis Text Line and is MHFA certified.
About a year and a half after I started taking my medications, I had my first real flirtation with suicide and spent half the night with our local police force, sheriff, and state crisis workers.
