Susan Kennedy-Arenz was born in London to Viennese Transport Kinder parents. She studied German and Politics at university and worked as a researcher in the House of Commons before becoming a teacher. At 35 she wrote a hiking guide to Israel, Jordan and Sinai and shortly after its publication, made aliya. She has been living and working in Jerusalem, as a writer, editor and teacher, for over 20 years. In her spare time she enjoys walking and gardening.
