Eugene Matanky is a graduate student at Tel Aviv University, who recently completed his thesis analyzing zoharic hermeneutics in sixteenth-century Safedian kabbalistic literature and the reception of Cordoverean kabbalah. He has translated Holiness and Transgression: The Mother of the Messiah in Jewish Myth, by Ruth Kara-Ivanov Kaniel (Academic Studies Press, 2017) and Imagery Techniques in Modern Jewish Mysticism by Daniel Reiser (De Gruyter, 2018).
