Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp dark miso paste (you can use white miso for a milder flavor)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into florets. Wash and check for insects. Pat dry.
  2. Whisk the rest of the ingredients together in the bottom of a bowl that is large enough to fit the cauliflower. Add the cauliflower and toss well so it is relatively evenly coated.
  3. Spread the cauliflower across a baking sheet. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Serve warm. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, scallions, and thinly-sliced red chili peppers.
