I've never been big on basil, but I recently had a fabulous salad with a basil dressing that changed my mind. You can use this on pretty much any salad, but it goes very well with delicate mixed greens and simple vegetables. It would also be perfect on an heirloom tomato salad or traditional caprese.
Ingredients
- 2 oz (60 grams) basil leaves
- 6 tbsp. olive oil
- 4 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
Directions
- Blend all ingredients together.
- Serve over mixed greens with the add-ins of your choice. Dress lightly.
