Hummus Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups cooked chickpeas
  • ⅓ cup tahini paste
  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients (except parsley) and blend until smooth.
  2. Garnish with finely minced parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.

Pita Chip Ingredients:

  • 1 pita bread
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Smoked paprika

Directions:

  1. Cut the pita into 8 slices.
  2. Cut each triangle in half (to separate the two layers of bread).
  3. Grease a baking sheet with oil spray.
  4. Place the pita pieces onto the baking sheet.
  5. Spray the pita pieces with oil spray and sprinkle with paprika.
  6. Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 3 minutes on each side.
