Face to face, the L-rd spoke with you at the mountain out of the midst of the fire. (Deuteronomy 5:4)

The mountain glows white hot, transparent and incandescent, reverberating with G‑d's voice speaking from out of the fire. Surrounding the mountain, gestures of paint suggest quaking figures in unison experiencing fiery sound waves that resonate to the depths of the soul of the nation. In this parsha, the emphasis is on G‑d's direct revelation to all the people, not through an image or form, but through intense repetitions of the great powerful voice that we are called upon to always remember.
