Young and Old Revel in Purim Joy in Affluent Quebec City
March 15, 2009 2:45 PM
There was something for everyone at the Purim party hosted by Chabad-Lubavitch of Westmount in the upscale residential area on Quebec’s Island of Montreal. Children joined a masquerade fashion show, showing off the costumes that have become a part of every Purim celebration, and then decorated traditional holiday baked goods known as hamentashen, made Purim crafts and attended a comedy show. Their parents, meanwhile, enjoyed their own entertainment, beginning with the reading of the Scroll of Esther. (Photos Menachem Serraf)
