Winter Camp Provides Fun and Jewish Education

Scores of Jewish children in New York’s Mid-Hudson region took advantage of winter break this year by attending a winter camp hosted by the local Camp Gan Israel. Featuring trips to winterized amusement parks, drama workshops and carnival-style activities, the camp explored a different Jewish theme each day.

Camp participants were split into bunks according to age. “With kids at home and many parents working during winter break,” said camp director Chana Burston, “camp offers a week of creative fun and Jewish education.”
