Smiles Return to Faces of Sderot Children

Three young women from the oft-targeted desert town of Sderot, Israel, celebrated a milestone in a way not possible back home during a joint Bat Mitzvah ceremony hosted by Camp Gan Israel of Upper Montgomery County in Maryland. For one of the visiting girls, who are taking part in the day camp at no cost through a joint project between Chabad-Lubavitch centers and the Rohr Family Foundation, the community-wide celebration was a chance to flash a smile not seen often since a Palestinian rocket attack left her with temporary facial paralysis.
