Detroit’s Cheder Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch opened its doors more than 50 years. Since then, its alumni have gone on to raise families and take up positions as Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries all over the world.
Students in the yeshiva portion of the Detroit school debate issues in Jewish law. They also study Talmud and Chasidic philosophy, but dedicate their free time to helping others in the wider community.
