Amid Blustery Winds, Boulder Observes a Croc-Filled Chanukah

Mother Nature hasn’t been so kind to Colorado this year. Still, freezing winds didn’t dampen spirits as the Jews of Boulder, Colo., gathered to light the Chanukah menorah on Pearl Street, the pedestrian-only thoroughfare at a heart of a city still struggling to move forward from debilitating floodwaters this fall.

In fact, moving forward proved a major theme of the celebration, which featured a giant menorah covered in none other than fleece-lined Crocs.
