Children Celebrate in Smolensk

Tens of children gathered in the Smolensk Jewish Community Center- Beit Malkin for the holiday of Lag BaOmer.

Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Levi Mondshine, chief rabbi of Smolensk and the Smolensk Region, opened the gathering, He told the children about the uniqueness of the day and its special message of loving their fellows. Jewish verses were recited and charity was given.
