Brighton Beach Torahs Seriously Damaged by Sandy

The Brighton Beach, N.Y., affiliate of the Friends of Refugees of Eastern Europe issued an urgent call for donations and support following the destruction of Hurricane Sandy, which flooded its ground-floor synagogue and Mazel Day School and inflicted damage to its six Torah scrolls.
