Gainesville Jewish Center Breaks Ground on $4 Million Facility

Representatives of campus-based Chabad Houses throughout Florida reunited recently in honor of the groundbreaking of the new home of the Tabacinic Lubavitch-Chabad Jewish Student and Community Center near the University of Florida, taking advantage of the opportunity to convey their thanks to Moris and Lilian Tabacinic, the philanthropists whose financial support and seed money made their centers possible.

The new $4 million, 23,000-square-foot home of the Tabacinic Lubavitch-Chabad Jewish Student Center will house a synagogue, social hall, Jewish ritual bath, café, courtyard, library, classrooms and a fitness room.
