Hawaiian Community Redeems Firstborn Donkey

The Jewish community on the Hawaiian island of Kauai took part in the rare biblical ceremony known in Hebrew as a pidyon peter chamor, or redemption of a firstborn donkey.

Schochet We would have schected the sheep, although schecting was not part of the ceremony, but alas, we don't have a shochet here on Kauai. Reply
