More than 320 Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries from locations throughout the United States gathered at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge, N.Y., for the 13th-annual conference of instructors affiliated with the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
After an opening by JLI chairman Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, who also serves as the vice chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, the educational arm of Chabad-Lubavitch, the main afternoon session featured a presentation by Dr. Shmuel Klatzkin and Rabbi Nochum Mangel, author’s of next year’s winter course, Money Matters: Jewish Business Ethics. “The remarkable growth of the Rohr JLI has revolutionized Torah study in Chabad Houses across the globe,” said Kotlarsky. “Seeing the enthusiasm and momentum of 320 emissaries at this year’s annual conference, and their resolution to further expand their reach in their communities” is inspiring.
