Israeli NBA Star Returns Home and Tours Charity Center

Sacramento Kings small forward Omri Casspi – the first Israeli to play in the NBA – returned home this week, spending time in the central city of Lod to tour the Yad B’Yad social service agency.

Casspi, a native of Holon, Israel, was a 2009 first-round draft pick. Gloiberman, meanwhile, also serves as an unofficial team rabbi to the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team.
