White House Welcomes 300 American Jewish Leaders

President Barack Obama welcomed 300 Jewish leaders to the White House for his administration’s second annual observance of Jewish American Heritage Month.

Guest’s of the White House’s Tuesday reception in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month included Nobel Peace laureate Elie Wiesel, left, and Rabbi Abraham Shemtov, the Philadelphia-based founder of American Friends of Lubavitch and chairman of Agudas Chasidei Chabad. Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren, two Supreme Court justices, Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and other high-ranking officials, and two other Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries also attended.
