Volunteers visited hospitals across North America last week as part of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education’s “Toys for Hospitalized Children” program.

According to officials, the Chabad-Lubavitch organization’s distribution was timed for the summer so that children with various conditions, who would typically enjoy the outdoor sun, could smile during their long hospital stays.

The NCFJE partnered with local Chabad Houses for the distributions. At the Vermont Children’s Hospital, students from the nearby University of Vermont joined Rabbi Zalman and Chana Wilhelm to deliver toys to pediatric patients.
