Jewish education options in Cape Town, South Africa, are slated to expand this coming winter with the opening of a new primary day school under the umbrella of The Shul of Table View, headquarters of Chabad of the West Coast.

Directed by Zeesy Deren, the Sinai Academy will open on Jan. 1 at the same site of the community’s Jewish Montessori Preschool.

“Secular [and] Judaic studies with include a Montessori integrated child-centered education system and will comply with requirements [of the] Western Cape Dept. of Education,” said Deren. “The classroom will be on the same site as the [preschool] and will utilize nearby sports fields for our sports program.” …
