While their students enjoyed the opening days of summer camp, more than 100 Jewish educators from across the United States gathered for a retreat of their own in New York’s Catskill Mountains region.
The July 13-14 annual Women’s Education Conference in Ellenville, organized under the auspices of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, the educational arm of Chabad-Lubavitch, brought together teachers from Jewish day schools, yeshivas and after-school programs to hone their skills and apply the latest research findings and developments in both general and religious studies.
This year’s conference focused on the concepts of differentiated instruction and how to implement them so that students at varying levels of development can maximize their potential.
The conference closed with a look back at 6o years of Chabad-Lubavitch education in America. …
