Israeli Ambassador Anna Azari and Russian State Library director Katherine Genieva formally unveiled a new Jewish section in the institution's library for foreign literature.

Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Boruch Gorin, editor of the Moscow-based Lechaim Publishing House, was on hand for the occasion and affixed a mezuzah to the library, which is being called the Jewish House of Books.

With 18,000 volumes and a catalog of antique books, Judaica and art in its collection, the new library will publish between 15 and 20 new books each year, according to division head Victor Indenbaum. ...
