A replica of Brooklyn, N.Y.’s landmark Lubavitch World Headquarters is rising in the Moscow suburb of Ramenskoye, Russia.

The outer shell of the familiar brick structure was completed this week, part of an effort to develop Jewish infrastructure in the city.

Chabad-Lubavitch Yitchak Kogan, director of Moscow’s Bronnaya Synagogue, is spearheading the undertaking, which will eventually house a synagogue, library, swimming pool, classrooms, gym and museum of the original Lubavitch headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in the Brooklyn section of Crown Heights. …
