Ulyanovsk, Russia’s Jewish Community Center unveiled a new six-week adult-education course designed to give its members an overview of Torah literature, Jewish traditions and lifecycle events.
Referred to by organizers as an “express course,” the class is being taught by rabbis and lecturers from Ulyanovsk and cities throughout the region.
Said Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Yossi Marazov, the city’s chief rabbi: “The sessions are going so well that as soon as the current group of students complete their studies, we will immediately commence a new course for a new group.”
