The two largest hospitals in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine – the Metchnikov Regional Hospital and Children’s Municipal Hospital – took delivery of a shipment of surgical tools, anesthesiological equipment and other supplies from the Committee for Post Soviet Jewry, a social service arm of the Boston Jewish community that works with Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzki, the city’s chief rabbi, in supporting various humanitarian projects in the region.
At the presentation ceremony, Jan Sidelkovsky, a coordinator of joint projects between the two communities, delivered a message of thanks from Dr. Igor Macedonskiy, chief physician from Children’s Municipal, calling the supplies a “priceless gift.”
