The seventh and eighth grade classes from Longmeadow, Mass.’s Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy returned from an 11-day tour of the Holy Land last week, during which they conveyed well-wishes from their local community to Moshe Holtzberg, the two-year-old orphan of slain Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, and his grandparents, Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg.

Rabbi Chaim Kosofsky, a teacher in the yeshiva, presented the family with an album of pictures of some 350 Longmeadow residents doing good deeds in memory of the Holtzbergs, while a seventh-grade student gave Sandra Samuel, the nanny who heroically saved Moshe Holtzberg from the Mumbai Chabad House, a pair of earrings that her classmates had made in art class.

While in Israel, the students also toured the holy sites in Jerusalem, rode camels in the desert, and learned about the country’s modern history. …
