Rabbi Dov Oliver received a Forty Under 40 award for his work with students as director of Hillel of Rockland at the Center for Jewish Life at SUNY Rockland Community College.
The awards, presented by university president Cliff L. Wood and Dominican College president Mary Eileen O’Brien, recognized the communal contributions of 40 Rockland County young professionals.
On top of his responsibilities at the Hillel center, Oliver, a graduate of a Chabad-Lubavitch rabbinical school, teaches a for-credit course examining a variety of philosophical, ethical, social and political issues through the prism of Jewish thought. …
