Thanks to the generosity of a local philanthropist, boys studying and living at the Chabad-Lubavitch run Ohr Avner orphanage in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, received pieces of Judaica to help teach them about Jewish religious items in the home and synagogue.

David Miropolskiy, a member of the board of directors of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish Community, donated the traditional items, including challah covers, kiddush cups, a menorah and Shabbat candlesticks, which will be displayed on a special library shelf.

Said Miropolskiy: “I hope that this gift brings much joy to these kids and helps them to observe the Torah’s commandments.” …
