In the Arctic population center of Arkhangelsk, Russia, high-profile political leaders joined residents in inaugurating the city’s new Jewish Community Center.
Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Zev Wagner, who travels throughout the country to work with constituents of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, participated in the event, while Boleslav Yatvetsky - Israeli consul in S. Petersburg and first secretary of the Israeli Embassy in Moscow - shared the dais with regional Gov. Ilya Mihalchuk, regional legislative chairman Vitaly Fortygin and Mayor Viktor Pavlenko.
