The Jewish Web site Chabad.org earned a mention on the Web site of MSNBC as part of the news network’s political coverage.

In a piece about the speculation surrounding presidential candidate Sen. John McCain’s pick for vice president, the NBC News political unit wrote in its “First Read” column that the Republican campaign’s scheduled roll out of the running mate might not preclude the possibility of Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman, who doesn’t campaign on Shabbat, being picked.

Citing a report by NBC/NJ reporter Matthew E. Berger, the column noted that “the McCain schedule has the campaign leaving Dayton en route to Pittsburgh by bus on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. It is a four-and-a-half hour drive, so they would be able to arrive in Pittsburgh before Shabbat begins at 7:38 p.m., according to Chabad.org, if they leave close to on time.” …
