Chabad-Lubavitch of Skokie, Ill., won the right to expand its facility after the village’s board of trustees approved the Jewish center’s plans to combine several rooms and create a home for junior congregation services.

According to the Pioneer Press, the new special use permit is the center’s second since its founding in 1981.
