If you’re looking for “the best” Shabbat dinner in Los Angeles, The Jewish Journal has just the place: Chabad-Lubavitch of Los Feliz.

Located in a city district bordering East Hollywood, the S. Monica Mountains, Hollywood and Silver Lake, the Chabad House directed by Rabbi Leibel and Dvonye Korf “brings in an eclectic bunch from the East Side,” according to the weekly newspaper in its light-hearted segment titled “The Best of (Jewish) Los Angeles 2008.”

Dvonye Korf, “who grew up in Morocco, cooks up a vicious traditional meal, including chicken soup, gefilte fish, potato kugel and broccoli salad,” writes Anita Kantrowitz. “If we’re ever there together, I can show you my sandwich combining them all into one.” …
