More than 250 people turned out for a grand opening ceremony at the new Northeast Regional Headquarters of the Aleph Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Government officials who attended included U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan, State Rep. Dan Frankel, city council president Doug Shields and Rev. Ulli Klemm, director of religious services for the Pennsylvania prison system.
Shields read a city proclamation commending the Aleph Institute, directed locally by Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Moishe Mayir Vogel, for its work with Jewish inmates. …
