Rabbi Shmuel Weisfische, spiritual director of Jerusalem’s Oz Meir Chabad yeshiva, was singled out by the Sacks Fund for his work with young Jewish men who have dropped out of the traditional yeshiva system.

In a ceremony at the Israel Center in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Rechavia, Rabbi Shabtai Rosenthal, the fund’s director, praised Weisfische for his patience and warmth.

Oz Meir is directed by Rabbi Shimon Elituv, a Chabad-Lubavitch emissary and director of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. …
