Jewish children in South Africa sent gift packages to the children of Sderot and Ashkelon, two Israeli cities hit particularly hard by waves of Palestinian-fired rockets from the Gaza Strip.

Shipped by the DIVOTE organization – its name stands for Durban Israel Victims of Terror Enterprises – the packages were intended as a show of solidarity with Israel’s home front.

Rabbi Menachem Kutner, director of Chabad’s Terror Victims Project, distributed the gifts with Rabbi Moshe Velenkin, a Chabad-Lubavitch emissary in Ashkelon.
