The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced its intentions to look into the case of Chabad-Lubavitch of Parkside, Fla., which vandals struck on Wednesday. Morning worshippers had discovered three swastikas spray-painted on one of the center's buildings.

The attack came just eight days after a Chabad House in Miami Beach, some 50 miles away, burned down in an apparent arson. "We're going to open a case," FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela told the Palm Beach Post on Thursday.

The statement came after U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler of Delray Beach wrote a letter to FBI director Robert S. Mueller expressing concern for the close proximity and timing of both crimes.

Mueller had earlier agreed in testimony to the House Judiciary Committee that the agency would investigate the Miami Beach fire. ...
