More than 200 people came to Chabad-Lubavitch of Arizona’s 31st annual dinner earlier this month, which honored obstetrician Dr. Steven Wininger and dentist Dr. Marc Kay for their dedication to the Phoenix-area community.

Though they didn’t attend, Arizona Sen. John McCain and his wife Cindy sent a letter to Rabbi Zalman and Tziporah Levertov, head Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries to the state, congratulating the organization for its steady growth and expressing awe in its mission of Jewish outreach.

“We are familiar with the astronomical expansion of Chabad throughout the state of Arizona,” wrote the McCains. “As a result of your joint leadership, we understand that Chabad Arizona is now located in 13 incredible locations.” …
