Shalom Brandman, a resident of Ramat Gan, Israel, donated a collection of 500 Judaic books to the Jewish community of Birobidjan, Russia.

Located in Russia’s Jewish Autonomous Republic bordering China, the community has experienced a rebirth under Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Mordechai Sheiner, who serves as the city’s chief rabbi.
