Leah Lang, daughter of deceased Australian educators Zev and Rochel Simons, dedicated her community’s preschool to her parents in a ceremony on Sunday.

Lang directs the Gan Camarillo Jewish preschool and co-directs Chabad-Lubavitch of Camarillo, Calif., with her husband, Rabbi Aryeh Lang. She told the Ventura County Star last week that she saw in her parents a passionate dedication to Jewish education. Zev Simons was a longtime instructor and director at Sydney’s Yeshiva Primary School, while Rochel Simons was a preschool teacher and administrator of a community mikvah.

Lang said that she tries to exemplify their example in her own community. “Everything they stood for,” she said, “we’re able to bring that not only to my own children, but to the community’s children.” …
