David Masas, a volunteer for the Netina non-profit organization operated by Rabbi Natanel Dreyfus, director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Netanya-Merkaz in Israel, received the 2007 Kaktus award from the local online portal. Staffed by a large group of volunteers, Netina works in cooperation with local social welfare offices to take care of needy citizens, from delivering baby necessities and children’s backpacks to distributing weekly food packages along with heaters and blankets in the winter. ...
